**A Lecturer (Independent Contractor) vacancy exists at the Waterfall campus in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences; the following qualification for the first semester of the 2023 academic year**:

**Minimum Qualification Requirements**:

- Ideal: A Bachelor of Arts Honours or Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Criminology and/ or Criminal Justice. Alternatively: Post-graduate Diploma, Masters (MA/ MPhil) or Doctorate (PhD/ DPhil) in Criminology and/ or Criminal Justice. Lecturing experience preferably two years lecturing experience in the discipline of Criminology.

**Minimum Work Experience Requirements**:

- Preferably two years lecturing experience in the discipline of Criminology. Work experience ideally in one or other field related to forensic criminology, research, criminologist, forensic analyst, victim empowerment, correctional services.

**Working Conditions**:

- Availability to lecture part-time during the week, between 8:00am - 5:30pm (on campus)
- Deliver module content as prescribed in Module Outline
- Provide a student support function through consultations, where necessary
- Grade all assessments for assigned classes
