Your challenge:

In this role you will be responsible for leading theaccounting department, providing comprehensive support to management, meetingall legal and company requirements through effective implementation andcontinuous improvement in the Regional Company South Africa includingits branches in sub-Saharan Africa (“LC ZA”).

Responsibilities of the Role

·Lead the local accounting department andcollaborate closely with the Hub Accounting and Shared Services organizationsto continuously provide strong governance and excellent services to thebusinesses in the area of accounting and financial reporting.

·Ensure that Statutory Financial Statements arein accordance with local GAAP for LC ZA.

·Liaise with external auditors for the annualstatutory audit and ensure the timeliness of the audit report issuance.

·Perform balance sheet critical reviews forquarterly and statutory reporting.

·Ensure monthly and quarterly closings for LC ZAand provide financial reporting to all stakeholders.

·Ensure correct bookings and clarificationregarding specific financial topics (e.g. FX bookings, intercompany clearing,intercompany business, treasury management, business, and project financing).

·Manage local and foreign payments for LCZA.

·Work closely with Executive Management toregularly monitor, present, and comment financial key figures.

·Ensure implementation of accounting policies,guidelines, and standards, and adapt related procedures and processes.

·Ensure that all statutory requirements,including central bank regulations, and other government rules and regulations,are met and are adopted accordingly in the company’s operational and financialactivities.

·Ensure compliance with Internal Controls relatedto the accounting function and act as a role model in ethical behaviour.

·Lead, develop, and coach the accounting teammembers to fulfil the assigned responsibilities.

·Identify process improvement potential in theaccounting and financial reporting processes and drive the implementation ofimprovement measures in close alignment with the CF R WEA hub.

·Act as a trusted Business Partner for theBusinesses, focusing on guiding them in accounting topics.

·Close interaction with Shareholder Controllingand other Headquarter departments, such as Internal Audit.

What you needto bring with you:

We are looking for a financial expert.You should already have significant operational experience in leading a financefunction or a similar role with:

·At least 5 years of professional experience in asimilar position

·Chartered Accountant, CIMA, or equivalentqualification

·Strong knowledge of the Siemens FRG and solidexperience with Esprit and SAP

·Good understanding of business specifics

·Strong analytical and decision-making skills

·Strong communication skills: must be able tointeract with and give clear guidance to all levels of the organization, and tocollaborate effectively with the CF R and Shared Services organization.

·Ability and willingness to challenge the statusquo and to get directly involved with operational matters.

·Ability to quickly adapt to new challenges in acontinuously growing digital financial environment.

·Strong leadership and ability to coach andmentor staff.
