Segment Lead

**Job Advert Summary**:
This is a middle management role, reporting into the Head: Member Value Propositions. The Segment Lead is responsible for commercialising the member base by identifying and targeting customer segments based on shared characteristics and needs. Working with analytics, sales and product teams unlocking opportunities for cross solutioning within the member base. The Segment Manager should have deep insights with respect to the behavioural and financial attitudes of members. They should immerse themselves in the detail of the segment and produce insights that can be commercialised.

Member engagement is a key objective of the role while understanding the importance of the intermediated relationship that PPS has with its members.The measure of success for the role will be based on the positive movement in a combination of the following variables:
1. Embedded Value

2. Gross Written Premium

3. Additional Assets attracted

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Education**:

- Degree in Business / Marketing or related field of study (minimum requirement)
- Postgrad degree in a related field required. (PREFERRED)

**Experience**:

- 5 - 7 years of experience in financial services with a solid performance track record in the current discipline/ role
- Excellent soft skills to handle Stakeholder Management
- Ability to gather, analyse and present information logically.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Track record to show Commercial astuteness that can be applied in the
- Ability to work with cross-functional departments to develop product offerings and the mode of execution.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for formulating and executing customised member engagement programmes.
- Work hand in hand with various product owners, analytics and marketing teams to identify members and their needs in order to develop go-to-market strategies.
- Drive Segment insights through direct member engagement activities as well as bespoke research initiatives. This can be done by understanding psychographic and other traits
