Inventory Manager

Ingrain is Africa’s largest producer of unmodified and modified starch, glucose and related products. We produce a wide range of high quality products for customers across Africa and around the world using maize as raw material. The products manufactured at our mills are essential ingredients in the manufacturing processes of various different companies, in many industries such as food and beverages, paper manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, building materials and adhesives.

We are currently seeking an Inventory Manager to join our Ingrain Finance Team. The incumbent will be responsible for effective and accurate management and control of all physical inventory and inventory processes within Ingrain, ensuring good corporate governance is applied.

**Key Deliverable and Outpuy**:
**Inventory Management**
- Implement and maintain effective world-class Inventory Management principles
- Manage Effective cycle counts in conjunction with Material managers at the Mills and the Warehouse manager at the Central Warehouse and external warehouses
- Manage effective wall to wall stock counts in conjunction with Material managers at the Mills and also the Warehouse manager at the Central Warehouse and external warehouses
- Maintain high levels of Inventory accuracy in Ingrain.
- Document and maintain Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), works instructions for all inventory related processes.
- Track stock aging
- Document and maintain processes that control all inventory movements
- Maintain Inventory ratios and proactively flag deviations from target
- Work closely with Materials team in all Mills and warehouses ensuring similar procedures and processes are maintained.
- Review stock controls in all Mills and warehouses (including external storages) ensuring control weaknesses are identified and closed out
- Ensure correct valuation of inventory through developing and maintaining standardised procedure on Inventory Provision.

**Forecasting and Budgeting**
- New and innovative methods of evaluating RFQ’s, e procurement, analyzing market conditions in ways that deliver cost saving opportunities
- Gain stakeholder support & approval for projects
- Prepare plans for projects or assignments (e.g. tasks, resources, time frames), provide schedules, time estimates, cost estimates and critical path information to appropriate users
- Communicate project status and potential problems to supervisors, team members and relevant stakeholders impacted

**Customers / External Stakeholders**
- Establish regular reporting on Inventory movement
- Establish regular reporting on inventory condition, accuracy of inventory valuation
- Establish regular reporting on accuracy of inventory levels
- Supporting the process of business modelling, planning, budgeting and forecasting for the company.
- Establish and agree and review the appropriate financial targets and KPI’s for the functional area

**Role Requirements**

**Qualifications**
- Matric/Grade 12
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance & Accounting / Supply Chain (Diploma/Degree)

**Experience**
- Min 5 years Experience in Financial Management / Supply Chain
- Min 3 years experience in management
- Experience dealing with internal controls
