WATER AND SANITATION WS 53/23 Senior Professional Officer

**Requirements**:

- B. Tech Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5 -8 years’ relevant experience
- Driver’s Licence
- Good Knowledge of local government related legislation

and policies
- To be able to travel within the boundaries of the City and beyond
- High degree of computer Literacy

Key Performance Areas
- Manage the implementation of water use efficiency special

projects and programs
- Manage the internal teams that implement and monitor strategic

special programmes Citywide including Leak Detection,

Independent Meter Audits, verification of treated effluent

infrastructure, springs projects and fog harvesting.
- Plan and Implement Capital and Operating Projects associated

with Water Use efficiency
- Oversee work implemented by various role players on

maintenance of Treated Effluent infrastructure e.g. internal staff,

Contractor etc.
- Implements operations and maintenance of water use efficiency

infrastructure e.g. spring water installations,
- Draw up and monitor maintenance implementation plan for

Water Use efficiency infrastructure
- Manage the liaison and communication with the treated effluent

end users.
- Support the zone management team on operations programmes

using special tools and equipment
