- R18 000 - R25 000 Monthly Basic Salary (Medical Aid, Provident Fund and Performance Bonus)
Manufacturing concern, based in the North of Pretoria, is looking for a Payroll Officer to join their team. An awesome working environment within a strong industry.
Qualifications and experience:
- Matric
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management and Payroll Administration
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll processing
**Duties**:
**Payroll**:
- Collecting and verifying employees’ attendance and overtime submissions, calculating wages and salaries and processing the weekly and monthly payroll.
- Prepare and submit legislative reporting in accordance with governance and compliance requirements and deadlines, including, Return of earnings, EMP201, EMP501, IRP5s, StatsSA, UIF Declarations
- Processing of loans and employee subscriptions including union deductions
- Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including changes in salary/wages or benefits and any other relevant changes
- Distributing pay slips and initiating electronic transfers to employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Preparing payroll reports for management, accounting, and regulatory purposes
- Develop and implement new controls and procedures within the payroll department to ensure accuracy of information received and to verify payroll figures
- Ensure compliance with all internal procedures, processes and policies
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws
- Ensure accurate calculations of leave and bonus pay due as well as payments due when employment is terminated.
**Human Resources**:
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process
- Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Maintaining employee records, updating HR databases, preparing HR reports, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Prepare reports on the companies EE status and targets and advise on succession planning. Assist with the annual EE submission to the DOL.
- Manage employee relations and address any employee concerns
