**COMPANY**
Our client is a diversified agribusiness which manufactures, processes and markets agricultural and food products for the PNG domestic market and also exports to other Pacific Islands. A market leader in most sector it services and its brands are some of the most recognised and trusted in the country. This highly respected group has been established for over fifty years and employs over 1,000 people. Businesses operated by the company include poultry, stockfeed, flour, crocodiles and egg layers. They also provide the major share of the fresh and frozen poultry consumed in PNG.

**ROLE**
An experienced and professional executive is required to provide strategic leadership for each of the business units to achieve the next level of development and to realise its full potential. Reporting to The Board, you will be expected to deliver efficiency in production and foster a culture of continuous improvement with a clear goal of achieving industry best practice.

Key Objectives are to lead, direct and control the operations to achieve best practice in productivity, minimise production costs and maximise net profit.

**LOCATION**
Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- In conjunction with The Board develop strategic goals, objectives and operating plans for each of the business units.
- Build a cohesive team of managers and create a co-operative and supportive business culture which acknowledges and encourages the skills, experience and capabilities of individuals and of teams.
- Measure and benchmark performance and develop a culture of continuous improvement in each of the business units.
- Ensure that skills within the business are in accordance with needs to meet best practice and that succession planning and skill acquisition programs attract and retain skills as required.
- Identify areas of sub-optimal performance and productivity and develop strategies to improve them.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Tertiary qualifications in agriculture, agribusiness, business, animal science or veterinary science.
- A minimum of fifteen years’ experience in senior management within the agribusiness sector.
- Demonstrated success in managing a complex and diversified agribusiness.
- High level communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to develop and lead a culturally diverse management team and workforce.
- Prior experience managing a poultry business at senior level would be highly regarded.
- Prior experience managing an agribusiness in a developing country would be highly regarded.

**BENEFITS**
