Our client's Graduate Programme is committed to promoting opportunity in the commercial insurance sector. They aim to create proactive risk mitigators to manage their risk profiles and those of their brokers. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract for law graduates (South African citizens). Graduates selected to join the Graduate Programme have the opportunity to join a leading insurer and develop their skills alongside some of the best talent in the industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process all underwriting/claims transactions assigned, contributing to the productivity of the underwriting/claims department.
- Maintain a high level of service to customers (internal and external) according to service level agreements and within the service standards as set by the company.
- Perform any other duties necessary for the operational effectiveness of the company.
- Take responsibility for your own career growth and have regular discussions with the relevant role players.
- Enrol in relevant courses.

**Requirements**:

- Undergraduate degree in Law
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite)
- No work experience required
- Valid drivers license
- Relationship management (have the right approach with the right people)
- Self-management (can organise work, space, time)
- Communication (express him/herself concisely)
- Writing skills (express him/herself in a clear way)
- Demonstrate common sense, self-motivation and discipline
- Well-presented / representative of company image
- Accuracy in the capturing of data
- Coordination, scheduling and planning skills
- Organising work and prioritisation skills
- Tact and diplomacy
- Positive and energetic
- Able to work under pressure
