**Overview**:
Creates an infrastructure able to support the required products, services and delivery to stakeholders and customers
**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in IT, Computer Science or related field
Post Graduate Qualification will be an advantage
Certifications and continuing education perferred
**Experience**:
Minimum 10 to 12 years of progressive IT experience
Proven experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams and overseeing large information technology projects
Sound understanding of IT operations, computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases and storage systems
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across global cultures
Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
Strong knowledge of project management principles
Proven ability of successfully developing, leading and implementing strategy, policy or operational plans across global organisation
Experience of managing towards a high-performance culture
Budgeting and planning experience
**Duties**:
Creates a strategic plan that defines how IT will contribute to the enterprise's strategic objectives and related costs and risks. Leading role in the development and execution of a responsive business strategy
Develops practices that can be used by business during projects to speed up time to market and enhance project success/sustainability
Drives development of data driven services/solutions both internally and externally as well as establish business platforms that enables digital business services. Prioritise IT effort and spend on value-generating business initiatives as well as simplify IT operations
Leads digital transformation initiatives utilizing a risk-based approach on topics involving governance, business continuity and cyber security
Educates management on current technology capabilities and future directions, the opportunities that IT provides, and what the business must do to capitalise on such opportunities.
Develop and implement policies and procedures wrt to IT infrastructure management, IT access and control and data management to create a secure and efficient IT platform.
Manage the portfolio of IT-enabled investment programmes to achieve specific strategic business objectives.
Provides input and oversees annual budget expenditures and resource requirements for the department.
Manage the IT team, overseeing the allocation of work and performance against goals. Provides feedback, coaching, and mentoring, drives employee development, and performs additional people management activities.
Performs other duties as required.
