**Introduction**

This position will be based at the Head Office in Woodmead.

**Description**

The primary function of this role is to strengthen the Minopex pipeline and secure the business growth requirements year on year. This would include setting the business development strategy, driving strategy execution and, leading and mobilising teams to achieve our growth objectives.

The VP would also be responsible for identifying and shaping opportunities, pairing value proposition to clients, developing and costing proposals, co-ordinating commercial negotiations and internal approvals to contract closure and handover to operations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Business Development**
- Develop and execute the Company’s growth strategy to achieve business goals
- Create and execute yearly roadmap objectives in support of Minopex growth objectives
- Develop execution plans including effective risk management strategies in all areas involved in securing new work for the Company
- Develop, manage and report on the implementation of marketing strategies to maintain market relevance and promote products, capabilities and solutions to the industry to increase order intake
- Responsible for business growth through strategic market planning, client relationship and overall pipeline management
- Responsible for growth through Business Development (contract renewals and growth within existing contracts/clients) and New Business Development (new clients, regions & solutions)
- Assess market conditions and identify current and prospective opportunities
- Manage the proposals teams to deliver winning bids with acceptable margins at low risk to the business
- Develop various differentiating commercial models for Minopex to enhance competitive edge
- Facilitate and co-ordinate all internal approvals on proposals and contracts as required by the DoA Framework and internal approval processes etc.
- Ensure development of an aftermarket strategy and network development
- Monitor competitor movement
- Maintain key internal stakeholder relationships across the Group to identify opportunities through all the Group Channels (within Minopex subsidiaries and also within the DRA Group)

**Marketing and Brand Management**
- Develop and execute annual marketing plans
- Manage and promote the Minopex brand and increase brand awareness
- Custodian of all marketing material including brochures, presentations and other materials as required
- Manage the digital awareness including website, LinkedIn and other social media pages
- Develop and execute relevant marketing campaigns around capabilities, case studies, thought leadership and opinion pieces

**Networking**
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on the opportunities, clients, market, and general trends
- Utilise knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop Minopex’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
- Collaborate with the various divisions within the Company to ensure alignment on the pipeline and that leads are prioritised and to ensure alignment on resource capability and availability
- Researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
- Secure new business in targeted growth markets / regions

**Reporting**
- Submit regular progress reports (new leads, prioritisation, progress on existing leads, leads converted etc.)
- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within Minopex’s CRM system (Salesforce)
- Submit monthly reports, general information, and recommendations to the Executive team with regards to improvements and development of processes and systems

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Engineering Degree / Qualification
- Business Management or equivalent tertiary qualification
- ECSA Registration

**Experience and Skills Requirements**:

- 10 years’ experience in Business Development.
- 10 years’ experience within engineering, professional management and or project management environments.
- 10 years’ experience within a design and construction company in the Mining and/or EPCM industries
- 5 years’ general experience and understanding of problem solving, risk assessment, developing advanced level analysis, general understanding of earned value management, trending, claims, forecasting and contractor negotiations and in managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Leading and managing teams in a matrix structure
- Knowledge areas:

- Project execution, including all elements of project management
- Competent to confidently network with clients and other industry professionals
- In-depth knowledge of the Mining and EPCM Industries
- Knowledge in engineering design and detailed engineering projects
- Strategic Marketing Planning and execution
- Commercial or Contractual knowledge relating to FIDIC and NEC contracting models will be advantageous
- Knowledge in Pipeline Management
- Knowledge in Financial Management
