The Marketing Assistant at The Royal Portfolio's Claremont based head office, is integral in supporting the Marketing & Communications team in handling communication, content and image uploads and libraries, as well as all admin. All of this to ensure that we adequately market our purpose, which is _“To give our guests a complete experience and a perfect stay.”_

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Uploading blog posts, press releases, images, additional pages to the website using WordPress
- Maintaining and updating the Image Library and Factsheets etc ensuring they are always kept up to date
- Maintaining and updating the database of guests, agents and operators
- Dealing with media requests for images
- Assisting with the co-ordination photoshoots on property - liaising with Hotel General Managers, suppliers, photographers, influencers, etc
- Assisting with booking Media and Influencers into our hotels via our Property Management System (Opera)
- Arranging and quality controlling the printing of guides, menus, stationery etc
- Handling vouchers
- Assisting with social media posts/ small design jobs in the absence of team members
- Maintain an up to date media database.
- Continually researching and sourcing suitable publications, bloggers, influencers to engage with based on our source markets and guest profiles.

REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in an **administrative/ support role** in a Marketing or PR environment - preferably focused on a portfolio of luxury travel, hospitality, or consumer brands
- A **tertiary qualification **in Marketing, Communications, PR, Media, Journalism, Advertising is essential
- Exceptional **verbal and written **communication skills in English
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi task
- Good working knowledge of **MS Office, Google Docs, WordPress **essential
- Previous **CRM **experience would be beneficial
- Previous experience with a project management tool such as **Asana**:

- A good understanding of luxury brands
- Positive attitude and highly responsive
- Team player
- Driver's license essential - must be able to travel to our properties
- Must be willing to work at head office in Claremont, Cape Town

South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document.
