We at RCL FOODS are in search of a **Route Controller **to join our **Distribution department**. The role will be based in Rustenburg and report to the **Distribution Manager**. RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to address regular operational needs of customers, monitoring the progress of deliveries and ensuring improved route optimisation and driver efficiency.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Manage GPSTS vehicle units, Garmin’s and GPSTS logins (Daily)

Report on Actual kilometers vs. GPS kilometers vs. Daily Averages of previous month

Report on any km (route) deviations on Daily Info Transport and Sales File (Daily)

Monitoring and reporting on transport logistics issues including speeding, harsh braking, route deviations, and route plotting, pre-trip inspections.

Route analysis and optimization (route splitting to be done) (monthly) reduce km where possible

Ensure vehicle utilizations at maximum capacity (daily)

Ensure route viability (loaves per km, cpk’s, cpl)

Handle disciplinary investigation enquiries of drivers on logistics issues (Weekly)
- Address miss customers with drivers
- On time Departure
- Time spend at Customers
- Customer hit rate

- Harsh Braking
- Speeding
- Fuel Consumptions
- Did not pour diesel
- Pre-trip inspections
- Excessive Idling
- Truck Hygiene

**Minimum Requirements**:
**QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE**

Matric

Valid Code EB driver’s license.

Minimum 3 years’ experience within the Food Manufacturing environment

Knowledge of Distribution and Logistics

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**

Computer literate

Organised and systems oriented

Ability to work under pressure

Must be a self-starter and can use own initiative

Must be able to communicate with people on all levels

Very Good Communication skills
