Our client based in JHB North is looking for a Freight Forwarding Sales & New Business Development Executive to join their team.

**Remuneration**:

- Basic Salary: Negotiable (Anything from 1M - 1.5 M ctc Annually)
- Provident fund and Life/Disease cover included
- Bonus of between 3 - 6 months equivalent

**Location**:JHB North / Office-Based

**Growth Opportunities**:Will start as a
** **Sales/New Business Development Executive and thereafter possibly grow into CEO/MD. This person would then run the whole Global Freight Forwarding Business

**Minimum requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree (Any) preferred and minimum of 5 years of related work or industry-related experience
- Strong experience in the transportation industry/sales
- Sound financial acumen with an understanding of financial business principles
- Existing customer base and an established network of contacts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively plan and organize appointments and meet reporting deadlines
- Must have excellent networking skills
- Participation in industry-related organizations
- Proven record of sales success

**Duties**:

- Build and implement a sales strategy for the business to ensure growth and sustainability
- Create a target sales list and build a pipeline
- Solicit new business opportunities
- Maintain current business relationships
- Improve profitability
- Assist with Requests for Proposal (RFP's)
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for customer instructions
- Identify new business opportunities within a specified territory by external analysis, competitor analysis, cold calling and any other means necessary
- Follow up on all sales leads
- Participate with pricing analysis
- Prepare and execute sales presentations
- Lead and initiate sales meetings
- Lead the sales team of the company - this will include strategy communication, development of staff, change management and visible leadership
- Other duties as assigned

**What the role will entail**:

- This role will develop new domestic and international clients and attain revenue goals set for given sales territory
- Will provide comprehensive transportation solutions for customers and analyze needs to create logistics solutions for the customers and commitment to service excellence
- Maintain existing business volumes while prospecting for new business opportunities within a specific sales territory
- Successfully market the company’s transportation services as well as its warehousing and distribution services
