Financial Administrator

Our Client an Organisation which was established in 2016 and supports programs for rural children. The Organisation is assisting 800 children with various programs including nutrition, mathematics, reading, homework support and sports. As part of the expansion the Organisation would be able to provide greater support to rural children developed for the need of a Financial Administrator for the Organisation chain of charity shops.
- Overall responsibility for the efficient running of the financial function and maintain effective financial systems and policies - including income statements, balance sheets, budgets, SARS returns, monthly payroll and related returns, asset management, management of Service Supplier agreements, lease agreements, all statutory returns monthly payroll and the related statutory returns.
- Update and capture daily transactional records (including: prepare source documents, reconcile transactions, capture, load payments, capture bank statements), file records accurately, compile comprehensive reports, manage daily cash flow and petty cash and maintain an asset register e.g. all financially-related functions.,
- Any other duties that are related to Finance such as mandatory annual tax returns, journals and such...
- Accurate and deadline relevant financial information to support the Financial Manager to perform his/her duties.
- General admin support.

**Experience, Qualifications and Requirements**
- A minimum of 5 years previous experience in similar role where the responsibilities included all stages of and full responsibility for the financial function - from capturing to balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement, mandatory statutory returns and monthly payroll.
- Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
- Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Pastel and SAGE).
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good management skills (time, resources, financial, programming, and budgeting).
- Ability to independently plan and meet deadlines.
- Excellent writing skills in English.
- Ability to prepare management reports.
- Ability to work independently and work well in a team.
- Ability to communicate well (both written and verbal)
- Ability to be methodical.
Experience in doing financial presentations in management meetings.
- No criminal conviction(s) / suspected misrepresentation
- Code 8 and own vehicle
