Specialist: Resource and Information Centre

An NQF Level 7 qualification on the 10 Level NQF will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing an academic library and information is required.
- More than two years of appropriate library management experience will be an added advantage.
- The incumbent must have a good knowledge of SAQA policies and procedures, NQF, and related legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, customer orientation, and attention to detail should be amongst the strengths of those aspiring for this appointment.
Duties : - Maintain an effective running of SAQA’s Resource and Information Centre.
- Maintain an effective record keeping.
- Sustainability of the Library Management Information System.
- Evaluation of new and existing information resources.
- Maintain and improve the quality and standards of information services provided to end users.
- Provide SAQA staff, stakeholders and the public with information and search facilities.
- Establish and manage links with other libraries, research, and information providers.
- Administer Resource and Information Centre stock.
- Assist with editing new materials on the Library Management System.
