FARM DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, LIMPOPO. ±R540 000 per annum. Languages *Well spoken in Venda/North Sotho
**Requirements**:

- Std. 10/Grade 12 plus further related studies;
- An AVCASA and/or BOSAS qualification will be an added advantage;
- Minimum 5 years’ extensive experience in general farm production, especially citrus development and farming;
- In-depth knowledge of all farming practices, e.g., production, planning and establishing new orchards, fertilisation, pest and disease control, fruit manipulation, mechanization, utility management, health & safety, environmental, quality (SHEQ), production administration, harvesting process, general personnel administration, risk management, staff management, annual biological asset calculation, limiting expenses;
- Computer related skills
- MS Office, Outlook, etc.;
- Must be literate and conversant in Afrikaans and English;
- A third language will be an advantage;
- Prepared to work long hours/overtime.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Daily production and development planning and reporting to the Director: Production on all production-related matters;
- Provide all levels of employees as well as management with timely and professional support for all production related issues;
- Manages personnel and ensures that all planting and cultivation of citrus takes place according to agricultural best practices to ensure that a good quality product is produced and that all relevant agricultural and ethical standards are complied with.
- Ensure that the production of good quality citrus is cost effective.
- Plan the planting of new orchards effectively in accordance with the Group’s strategy.
- Effectively drive, structure and organise the production process for maximum production/yield;
- Manage all production processes according to good farming practices and company policies and procedures;
- Active involvement in water management;
- Ensure effective administration in line with best practice;
- Ensure compliance with and management of all labour and employer/employee related laws and ethical business standards;
- Involved in annual budget setting and daily management of production unit within budget;
- Ad hoc duties within scope of employment.
