If you enjoy working with people and considering a career in HR, the HR Assistant role at SA Power Services might be just what you are looking for. You will be supporting the HR department across various areas, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, compliance and related tasks.

This is a work from home opportunity, but you will be required to commute to the Cape Town office in Edgemead at least once a week.

Summary of responsibilities:

- Provide administrative support to the HR Executive.
- Assist with the induction and orientation of new employees and be the point of contact for all new employee questions.
- Assist with the administration of company benefits.
- Attend meetings and act as a minute-taker as and when required.
- Assist with HR related queries.
- Manage and track probationary evaluations and escalate issues to the HR Executive.
- Oversee employee recognition events and communicate these within the group.
- Attend to queries relating to company policies and procedures.
- Co-ordinate training for employees (internal and external).
- Participate in organizing company functions and events.
- Assist with compliance and reporting requirements.
- Prepare internal communications and memos.
- Assist with the drafting and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Perform a variety of secretarial duties, such as conducting research to assist with enquiries, co-ordinate and schedule travel, arrange meetings and appointments.

Qualifications and experience:

- Grade 12
- Diploma or Degree in HR
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of SA labour laws and legislations.
