R&D MANAGER Pharmaceuticals

Our client is seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead their Research and Development Department. You will be required to ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and regulatory requirements. You will drive innovation, oversee new product development, and maintain quality standards.

Key Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

- Leadership: Proven track record of effectively managing and leading a research and development team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, particularly in the areas of GMP and SOP adherence.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to execution.
- Collaboration: Experience liaising with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Production, Costing, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product development and manufacturing processes.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in documentation, administrative tasks, and product development processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactive approach to staying informed about the latest industry trends, raw materials, and technologies.

Key Result Areas:

- Lead and oversee the entire Research and Development Department, ensuring compliance with SOPs and GMP.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Costing, Production, and Regulatory Affairs teams on new product development initiatives.
- Develop and maintain training programs for staff, ensuring they are updated on the latest procedures.
- Manage administrative documentation and reporting for R&D projects.
- Conduct in-house audits and self-inspections on a regular schedule to maintain quality standards.
- Liaise with suppliers and purchasing departments to acquire new materials and packaging.
- Supervise the manufacture of new products and assist in troubleshooting any production issues.
- Maintain monthly reports on R&D projects and effectively manage the daily R&D program.
- Conduct regular internet searches to stay informed about the latest raw materials and products on the market.
- Quote customers on new product prices and collaborate with QA/QC teams on product testing.
