**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- Must have a relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum 6 years commercial experience in the agricultural industry will be required
- Solid experience in developing and implementing forecasts, budgets and sales strategies and plans is essential
- A good understanding of the agri business, key account management, the market and how to add customer value is important for this role
- Knowledge of key financial and marketing concepts and principles will be required
- Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel on a national basis
- Developing, implementing and directing national business strategies and marketing strategies, consistent with overall marketing and sales strategy.
- Identifying, defining, establishing and maintaining relationships with key accounts.
- Investigating and managing complaints to minimise financial loss and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Keeping abreast of market, trade and competitor activity in order to revise strategies to meet changing requirements and ensuring maximum volumes and profits margins.
- Building relationships in value chain (identify the lead influencers).
- Identifying key product and market opportunities and threats.
- Developing the sales and marketing team through effective support and training initiatives.
- Managing technical initiatives, including R&D, technical training and new product development.
- Ensuring market information accuracy regarding specific products, regions and crops.
