**JOB SUMMARY**

Operations coordinator ensures all functional unit processes and procedures in a Waste Management environment is running smoothly and ensures service delivery to customers.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Coordinate the total Waste Management Operations processes to ensure excellent services are rendered to clients for Waste, Water, Hygiene, Pest & Recycling services.

2. Schedule collection & disposal routes and address issues and identifies ways to increase revenue, decrease expenses, and improve efficiency.

3. Implement Health and Safety (OHS) practices to ensure a safe working environment on-and-off site.

4. Possesses Valid Code 14 Drivers License with PDP.

5. Perform general office duties to support Operations Department activities.

6. Maintain good relationship with clients thus ensuring customer satisfaction.

7. Do assessments at client premises as input to the quotations.

8. Allocate available operations resources to enable successful task performance on a day-to-day basis.

9. Ensure processes are in place to monitor compliance to regulatory requirements, health & safety, maintained equipment, layouts, and relevant management systems.

10. Ensure vehicle is serviced on schedule and well-maintained in-between services.

11. Allocate tasks and assignments to subordinates and monitor their performance to ensure that the results are measured against the required standards.

12. Ensure accuracy of documentation (delivery notes, compliance, safe disposal, etc.).

13. Provide written and face to-face reporting to ensure that the management is properly informed of all aspects of Operations business.

14. Responsible for developing standards and promoting activities that enhance operational procedures.

15. Handle customer enquiries and complaints and ensure satisfactory resolution of issues.

16. Training of employees.

**DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION**
- Matric.
- Certificate / Diploma / Degree Qualification in a related field is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Operations Coordinator/Manager.
- Advanced knowledge of Operations procedures (incl. OHS, LRA, work layout etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent phone and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Experience**:

- Operations: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Code 08 Drivers license (preferred)
