You will be working as a Service Sales Specialist, and will be the part of Motion Business Area Service division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Local Division Manager - Motion Service and will be responsible to drive service sales pipeline in collaboration with the Service Sales Manager and/or Local Division Manager. Generate service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the designated area. Focus on installed base penetration (IB) and sell the entire Service product portfolio for Drives and Motors in collaboration with other ABB units. Build long term customer relationships and ensure immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.
**Your responsibilities**:
- In collaboration with the Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager implements Service sales strategy. Penetrate IB, promotes various upgrade, retrofit and value add solutions to the benefit of the customer and ABB and understand the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and prepares sales plans, review and proposes recovery plans when needed. Regularly updates installed base in ServIS (the approved Service database) with the changes made at site.
- Utilize ServIS/DIB/LCA tools to penetrate the existing installed base (IB) and identify and develop sales opportunities for Service portfolio and solutions to penetrate the existing IBs in the market. Focus on the entire Service portfolio to secure profitable service sales for Motion Services Division.
- Generate Service sales leads and develops new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information, identifying, and exploring potential new service portfolios. Collaborative approach to leverage opportunities from total portfolio offering.
- Establish long term customer relationships by active listening, understanding customer requirements and value selling approach and demonstrating in-depth technical service portfolio/solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM). Register customer feedback and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Sell entire service product portfolio to expand ABB footprint in the designated areas and chart out and monitor sales proposals, tenders and follow up on sales pipeline. Prepare ABB’s Service offerings based on customer need and in coordination with the local Service Sales Manager and/or Local Division Manager and communicate contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy. Manage administrative sales processes.
- Act as a marketer/salesperson of ABB’s service portfolio and solution during marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings). Translate the need of customer into relevant ABB Service offerings and solutions.
- Contribute to risk assessments related to price and quality and register required information into the appropriate customer database. Ensure technical reliability, safety and cost-effective solutions to satisfy customer’s needs and compile with health and safety directives.
**Your background**:
- Should have advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Marketing Qualification advantageous.
- 5 plus experience in service sales.
- Industry experience in service sales and or solution/value selling.
- Motors and Drives experience would be advantageous.
- Proven track record in service sales.
- Should have good Communications & presentation skills. Excellent level of English required.
