To provide technical assistance to support the sales team and customers during the sales process.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Developing and maintaining a good understanding of the technical aspects of the products being sold.

Pre-Sales support by identifying customer requirements and part numbers based on pictures, samples, schematics and/or serial numbers. This involves engaging with customers to understand their requirements.

Assisting the sales team in preparing and delivering quotations. This may include creating technical documentation, writing proposals, and gathering relevant technical information to support the sales process.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers by being their go-to technical resource. This includes addressing customer concerns, resolving technical issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Taking ownership of and managing the warranty procedure.

Collaborating with internal teams such as the workshop, product development, marketing, procurement and the warehouse to relay customer feedback, gather product information, and contribute to product and service improvement.

Emergency ad hoc after sales support which will include some procurement related tasks.

Provide routine assistance in the administration of the sales department which include but is not limited to: o Maintaining and updating records and files.

Preparing and analysing reports.

Following up on purchase orders for sales order fulfilment.

Answering sales telephone calls when needed.

Assisting walk in customers when needed.

Working on and providing feedback on our internal helpdesk (ticket system).

Processing quotations, sales orders, delivery notes and invoices.

Ensuring client satisfaction.

Maintaining part information in the internal system.

**Qualifications / Skills Required**

**Minimum level of education**:Grade 12 (Matric)

**Skills required**:
Good technical aptitude.

Understanding of schematics and part number references.

Proficiency in the English language and communication skills (reading, writing, grammar, spelling, etc.). Afrikaans proficiency would be a bonus.

Complete accuracy in carrying out all duties and responsibilities.

Basic mathematic skills.

Excel knowledge (Basic formulas and formatting). Formulas must include sum, average and basic calculative functions (+, -, x, ÷).
- Formatting must include decimal, currency and visual changes.

Word knowledge (numbering, bulleting, headers, footers, etc).

Experience with an accounting package, specifically Pastel Evolution, is preferred.

Have a good understanding of volumetric weight and what parts would be airfreightable or not.

**Character traits required**:
System driven and methodical in organizing paperwork.

Able to work in a team and bring a positive atmosphere into the department.

Must be able to work well under pressure.

Multitasking skills and ability to organize workloads (prioritise).

Emotionally mature, ex. being able to accept decision of person above in hierarchy, even if the decision is incorrect.

Accuracy and attention to detail.

Reliable and dedicated.

**Experience required**:
Some experience with technical/mechanical related products is a must.

Ability to exercise discretion with highly sensitive and confidential information is imperative.

Drivers license and own transport.

Preferably a non-smoker.

Bad language will not be tolerated.

No special physical requirements except for good general health and ability to work with heavy parts.
