**Job Advert Summary**:
Safe and efficient operating of Front-End Loader. Operates loader equipped with front mounted hydraulic powered bucket which is used to transport aggregate or other materials, feed hoppers and / or stock pile aggregates.

**Minimum Requirements**:
National Senior Certificate (Gr.12)

Code EB Driver License

Loader Operator Licence Card / Certificate of competency.

At least 3 years’ experience in similar role

Work overtime from time to time

Good customer relationship

Be able to perform basic and repetitive duties

Interpersonal and human relation skills

Ability to work independently.

Accuracy and ability to give attention to detail

Target and deadline driven

Experience in working in a highly pressurized environment.

Human relations and interpersonal skills.

High level of responsibility

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Front End Loader
- Prepares for the day by conducting a pre-trip inspection of the loader by inspecting and completing the pre-trip form and hand the copy to the plant supervisor.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Reports on any problems or defaults to the Supervisor;
- Operates the loader in a safe, efficient, responsible and appropriate manner.
- Operates loader controls to lower and tilt bucket.
- Ensure that the loader is cleaned inside and outside and that all grease nipples are greased;
- Conducts a post-trip inspection at the end of each shift.
- Follow instructions as per the manufacturer specifications.
- Be courteous to fellow plant users.
- Adhere to the rules and regulations and all the relevant company set policies and procedures.
- Ensure driving behaviour is not aggressive with regards to braking and accelerating.
- Minimise excessive idling of loader.
- Transport materials from stockpile to loading hopper.
- Move material after delivered and keep stockpiles tidy

Communication.
- Be completely knowledgeable to use a two-way radio in a well-mannered way.
- Communicates efficiently, effectively, and courteous with suppliers to ensure the proper delivery of the product.
- Be available on the two-way radio should the batcher need to communicate with regard to the loading.
- Portrays a positive and accommodating attitude towards peers, superior and customer.

Operation of Front End Loader
- Be completely knowledgeable of handling equipment.
- Be familiar with the danger and safety regulation with regards to operating the loader (Articulation, lifting and lowering bucket)
- Checks loader for defaults regularly.
- Reports any defaults found on mixer to Supervisor
- Ensures that loader is clean inside and outside and well maintained.

PPE
- Responsible for maintaining and using company issued personal protective equipment.

Safety
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards while adhering to safety policies
