**Job title: Customs clerk / Logistics coordinator**

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Checking and approval of customs documents.
- Reporting and Recon in Purchasing and Customs.
- Coordination with Customs agents for clearances.
- Submission of Customs entries with Easy Clear.
- Ensuring that filing is always up to date, physical and system bases.
- Communicate directly with Customs to close any errors.
- Guiding staff members to be customs compliant.
- Drawing up of standard operating procedures.
- Reviewing purchase requisitions.
- Managing material master data in SAP/MDS.
- Purchasing of stock, consumables, PPE, assets, etc. Both local and Foreign.
- Costing of goods based on importation and filter into SAP.
- Keeping colleagues updated on shipments delays and changes.
- Process reports from SAP for analysis of stock movements & Vendor Accounts.
- Product Sourcing.
- Assisting with unloading and loading of containers trucks or vehicles.
- Receives and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments or purchases.
- Goods receiving all incoming stock on SAP.
- Vetting purchase and service invoices for finance department in SAP.
- Create shipping documentation.
- Liaise collections and deliveries with freight companies and complete necessary forms and waybills.
- Deducting all outgoing stock by posting or transfers on SAP.

**Additional / Ad-hoc**:

- Assisting stores / warehouse with general workload.
- Driving / Deliveries & collections.
- Packing general sales orders.
- General house maintenance (All staff).
- Assisting stocktakes - preparation, counting, etc.
- Loading vessels on Customs M.A.S system.

**Working times**:

- Mon - Thurs: 08h00 - 16h30
- Fri: 08h00 - 16h00

**Minimum requirements**:

- Code 8 Drivers Licence
- 2 years Logistical Background
- 3 years’ experience with Customs Clearance
- 3 years’ experience in customs relations

**Preferred requirements**:

- 1 years’ experience in Purchasing
- 1 years’ experience in the Marine industry

**Salary**:

- Market related.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Paarden Eiland, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
