**Business Development Lead**

**Objectives**
- Define short and mid-term sales goals,
- Build key customer relationships
- Identify business opportunities
- Negotiate and close business deals
- Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions
- Manage clients and ensure customer satisfaction

**Outputs**:
**New Business Development**
- Identify potential new clients and successfully onboard
- Cold call potential clients within relevant markets
- Have a strong pipeline of both short term and long term sales
- Research and build relationships with new clients
- Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
- Plan approaches and pitches specific to client
- Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
- Participate in pricing the solution/service
- Handle objections positively and try to custom solutions that best fit clients needs
- Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
- Client Retention
- Follow up with clients to ensure they are satisfied
- Maintain an open relationship with clients in which they feel comfortable to approach you with any concerns
- Be confident when speaking to clients
- Represent the company ethically and professionally at all times**Business Development Planning**
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
- Present new ideas on business trends with management
- Identify opportunities that will lead to an increase in sales
- Use knowledge of the market and competitors to gain competitive edge**Management and Research**
- Submit weekly progress reports and any other reports as requested by management, ensuring data is accurate
- Forecast sales targets realistically
- Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
- Work closely with sales and marketing specialist and ensure alignment on all targets
- Keep abreast with market trends in relevant markets
- Understand the company’s goal and purpose, using this as a driving factor of what sets us apart as a preferred service provider

**Requirements**:

- At least 10 years in a BDM role in technology, energy or construction industry
- Bcom or Masters in Commerce or related fields
- Proven Key Account Management background
- Research and market analysis background.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Able to work independantly
- Must have a record of exceeding sales targets

**Remuneration Band**:

- **360k - 480k TCTC**

**Salary**: From R360,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Rosebank, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Sales and Marketing: 6 years (required)
- Key Accounts: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- Native (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 100% (required)
