Territory Manager

**Purpose of Position**:
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Matric, Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Management
- Minimum 3 years proven track record in field sales and territory management (driving force in sales teams)
- Drivers License and own transport, able to travel around the KZN Areas.
- Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, SAP
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Self-motivated, ambitious individual, able to work independently as well as being a team player.
- Team Leadership and Management, motivate and train sales team
- Effective time and territory management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills (internal and external).
**Duties**:
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with pharmacists, medical professional, nurses, doctors, anesthesiologists, and supporting administration staff
- Drive merchandising and product training.
- Regularly attend company meetings, presentations and briefings
- Keeping up to date with the latest trends to optimize sales opportunities and interpreting, presenting and discussing these findings and data analytics with during presentations
- Monitoring competitor activity and competitors’ products
- Keeping informed of new developments in the pharmaceutical industry, anticipating potential positive and negative impacts on the business and adjusting own sales strategy accordingly
- Developing strategies for increasing opportunities
- Monitor own sales performance and use data to focus own sales activities for best results
- Work closely with marketing department to improve knowledge and implement strategies
**Planning/Work Management**
- Arranging appointments with customers ie pharmacists, medical professionals and business support staff
- Manage sales territory and monitor - Planning work, schedules and weekly and monthly timetables.
- Work with colleagues and manager to discuss future targets to optimize sakes and growth targets
- Analyzing sales data on customer purchasing habits to increase sales
- Monitor own sales effectiveness and use data to focus own detail activities for best results
**Administration**
- Keeping detailed and updated records of all contacts and administration deadline on the following need to be adhered to monthly and bi-monthly
- Dealing with adhoc administration requests as when necessary
- Capturing of any leave, petrol expense claims, subsistence allowance
**Reporting**
- Weekly updates of presentation progress and competitor/in field information
- Daily reporting on company management system and ensuring that all call details /comments are included
- Daily input of mileage and log any faults or concerns
- Logging of training reports and submitting of attendance registers by the end of the week
