Aa HR Officer

**Minimum Requirements**:
- Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3 years working experience in a similar role, in a Manufacturing or Unionised environment
- Possess sound procedural and substantive negotiation skills including competency in dealing with disciplinary and CCMA issues, labour disputes, Bargaining Council
- Sound knowledge of HR related legislation e.g. BCEA, LRA, EE, as well as Best Practice Trends in HR
- Experience with Payroll
- Manage and control compliance with all EE issues
- Training and Development of workforce experience and knowledge of SETA Grants
- Knowledge of SAGE VIP and Jarrison Time and Attendance system
**Key Performance Areas**:
Staffing & Recruiting
- Draft employment contracts and create new employee personnel files
- Manage new enrolments and terminations in the system
- Update and monitor employee leave days in the system (VIP)
- Manage the time and attendance system (Jarrison Time)Manage Compensation and Benefits
- Conduct biweekly payroll
- Export relevant reports
- File and keep records
- Manage salary/wages inquiries
- Ensure that time sheets are properly authorised
Training and Development
- Work with departmental Managers to assess training needs
- Coordinate employee study assistance
- Ensure Employment Equity compliance
- Provide BBEEE support during audits
Labour Law and Regulations
- Investigate and assist in resolving industrial disputes and grievances in the workplace.
- Facilitate meetings and employee counselling sessions
- Prepare, update, and enforce human resource policies and procedures
- Represent the company at hearings when necessary
- Retain historical human resource records by designing an effective filing system and keep past and current records
Coordinate Employee Wellness and Other
- Manage conflict, both internal and external
- Chair the Health and Safety committee
- Draft and file Health and Safety minutes of the meeting
- Prepare Health and Safety inspection and evaluation reports
