**Job Summary**:
The Restaurant Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations by managing reservations, coordinating event planning, developing training materials, and curating the restaurant's wine list. This individual ensures an exceptional guest experience while supporting operational efficiency and staff development.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Reservations Management**
- Oversee the booking system, manage daily reservations, and ensure accurate recording of guest details.
- Coordinate with the front-of-house team to optimise table turnover and seating arrangements.

**2. Event Coordination**
- Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute private events and functions.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs, develop event proposals, and finalise details.
- Work with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless event execution.

**3. Training Development**
- Develop and compile comprehensive training guides for new and existing staff.
- Organise and document onboarding procedures, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Coordinate training sessions and workshops to enhance staff knowledge and performance.

**4. Wine List Curation**
- Work with suppliers and sommeliers to select wines that complement the menu and appeal to the clientele.
- Maintain an organised and updated wine inventory.
- Collaborate with management to price and promote wine offerings strategically.

**5. Administrative Support**
- Assist in maintaining operational records, including inventory logs, sales reports, and staff schedules.
- Support the General Manager with tasks related to compliance, licensing, and documentation.
- Regularly review systems and procedures to suggest improvements for efficiency.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience in a similar administrative or hospitality role.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with reservation systems, event management, and inventory software.
- Knowledge of wines and beverage pairing (WSET certification or equivalent is a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hospitality management software.

**Work Environment**:
This is an on-site position in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The role may require occasional evening or weekend hours, particularly during events.

Pay: R15 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
