**Job Purpose**:

- To set the strategy and inform the high-level direction for the long-term future of The Company in order to create a sustainable business with a competitive advantage
- To provide direction and leadership to the rest of the business, ensuring alignment within the business to realize the strategy
- To create a high-performing environment (values, culture, etc.) that results in productive, engaged employees who live the company values
- To take ownership of driving implementation related to individual functional best practice

**Division/Location**:

- Support Office - Cape Town

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Executive Management/Strategy Development**: Design, implement and communicate The Company's Human Resource (HR) policy and strategy. Responsible for providing HR input and leadership to the Executive Committee
- **Partner to the Business**: Responsible for forming and maintaining critical key relationships within the business
- **Manpower/Human Capital Planning**:Direct a process of organizational planning that evaluates company structure, job design, and staff forecasting throughout the company. Evaluate plans and make changes to plans. Make recommendations
- **Recruitment of Human Capital**: Establish and lead the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit a superior workforce
- **Key Talent Management**: Ensure key talent is identified, recruited, developed, and retained within the business. Monitor the implementation of the performance management system
- **Development of Human Capital**: Ensure the business develops skills in all its employees to meet its strategic objectives
- **Compliance with Legal requirements**: Ensure the business follows all legal requirements with regard to its employees and the management thereof, including all reporting requirements. Perform all the duties and responsibilities of the Section 24 Manager for the Group
- **Employee Relations**: Formulate and recommend HR policies and objectives for the company, relating to employee relations. Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation. Manage employee communication and feedback through various means
- **Remuneration and Benefits**: Determine the company’s pay strategy structure, and policies. Determine and direct the company pay systems including bonuses, increases, and incentive structures. Monitor all pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment. Monitor employee benefits and recommend changes in benefits offered where needed to enhance employee satisfaction and retention. Ensure all pay practices are in alignment with all legislative requirements
- **B-BBEE**: Formulate The Company’s BBBEE strategy and direct, monitor, and coordinate the strategies implementation
- **Leadership of HR and Payroll Departments**: Oversee the implementation of all HR, Payroll, and Skills Development activities and programs. Manage the work of HR, Payroll, and Skills Development employees, and conduct performance reviews. Develop and monitor an annual budget. Select HR & Payroll resources i.e., consultants, systems, training specialists, attorneys, brokers, and administrators. Direct the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- **B Degree in Human Resources Management/Social Sciences**:

- **A Postgraduate qualification**:

- **10 years of Human Resources General Management experience preferably with at least 5 in a Senior Management role**:
