**The objective of the role**:
Works under the direction of the Account Manager (AM) and Account Director (AD) to implement public relations and communications plans for clients to achieve goals as set out in communications strategies.

**Job description**:
Works according to agreed communications plans and ensures deliverables are of the required standard.
Interacts regularly with client team (AD/AM) to keep them updated on the progress with campaign tasks.
Sets times and prepares agendas and minutes for client meetings in the absence of an Account Assistant.
Ensures that media, status, feedback, and other reports are prepared well in time so that AD/AM can check these for presentation to client.
Identifies positive opportunities for clients and discusses these with AD/AM before action is taken.
Works with; and guides AA in their daily execution of tasks, where appropriate.
Works according to critical timelines and plans, reporting to AM/AD on a daily basis regarding administrative matters and problem areas.
Maintains relationships with suppliers relevant to the PR function - eg web developers, graphic designers, photographers, etc.
Is able to accurately brief service providers and manage critical timelines.

**Responsibilities**:
Ensuring that media, status, feedback, and other reports are prepared well in advance, accurately and without spelling or formatting errors,
Managing elements of the media pitching process and building and maintaining positive working relationships with the media,
Having a thorough understanding of the media environment in which our clients operate and constantly scouring the landscape for updates and announcements that we should be aware of
Understanding the influencer landscape and keeping up to date with updates on the social media platforms that could affect our clients
Ability to write basic copy
Prepares and checks paperwork for compilation of monthly billing of accounts: ensures that they are correct and according to budget.
Has a thorough knowledge of the media landscape (specifically the fashion/beauty/design/decor space)
Builds and maintains good working relationships with journalists.
Keeps abreast of digital/social/web media trends and is able to identify opportunities for clients.
Continually learning the technical skills required to implement digital media plans.
Builds and maintains relationships with key influencers in the digital media space, as well as celebrities where possible.
Prepares own media lists
Originates basic copy and text, press releases, media briefing documents, newsletters, website content as required for editing and approval by AD/AM.
Is proactive about providing creative ideas for articles/press releases/online content.
Assist with the production of client publications where appropriate.
Coordinates and executes events (media or otherwise) according to brief, client expectation, and company standards.
