**Core Description**:
Accountable to support the CEO to provide efficient, effective, and strategic support to the Consumer CEO by means of effective management of the interaction between the Consumer CEO, employees, and key stakeholders. This requires the executive to be:

- Responsible for the tracking and ensuring delivery of all identified Consumer programs and projects and provide efficient, effective, and strategic assistance to the CEO.
- Responsible for identifying internal organizational synergies, concomitant intelligence to enable delivery of the current business imperatives by creating a platform to design the business of the future.
- Accountable for ensuring evaluation and enhancement of all processes and managing the process re-engineering throughout Consumer Business.
- A key player across Consumer Business to increase broad cohesion for execution of strategic plans.
- Enabling improved delivery of results throughout the Consumer Business organization by employing effective change management techniques.

**Responsibilities**:
**THE PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF THE EXECUTIVE: INTEGRATED BUSINESS PLANNING AND PERFORMANCE ARE TO ENSURE THE BUSINESS PLAN IS FACILITATED AND THE STRATEGY SUPPORTED**:

- Demonstrates a deep understanding of the global marketplace, competitive position and commercial drivers for a large-scale business and advice CEO on possible trends.
- Use analytics, data, and trends both internally and externally to diagnose business issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Provide guidance to assist the business to translate their strategy into a clear people agenda within the direction set by Telkom for a business with multiple core lines of business.
- Ensure that the Consumer Business strategy is aligned with approved financial budgets.
- Ensure legislator compliance and corporate governance.
- Compile/review presentations and reports for the CEO.

**DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN ENTERPRISE PORTFOLIO WITH ITS SUPPORT OF STRATEGIC TRANSVERSAL PROGRAMS**:

- Drive and manage the alignment of the various CEO strategic programs to ensure the objectives are met to maximize value creation.
- Consider all Financial, Social and Environmental requirements before integrating it into relevant execution and delivery plans and KPIs.
- Management, development, planning, implementation, review, evaluation, reporting and conclusion of projects including securing resources and budget.
- Manage all aspects of programs/ projects through cross-functional teams including meeting timelines, costs targets, quality requirements, and budget constraints.
- Assist the business with implementation of interventions.

**TRACK PROGRESS AND PERFORMANCE ON THE BUSINESS PLAN**:

- Techniques, Tools, Analytics as well as Performance Monitoring and Control systems and reporting.
- Facilitate decision-making forums and sessions at MANCO level as appropriate.
- Track and ensure delivery of all relevant programs and projects.
- Feedback reporting to EXCO with exception reporting:
**DRIVE CHANGE MANAGEMENT FOR EFFECTIVE PERFROMANCE THROUGH PEOPLE DYNAMICS**:

- Exemplary coach and sounding board to the CEO and leaders in the business.
- Own the relationship with Consumer leadership as a trusted advisor.
- Manage the communications and relationships between the CEO's office and all other internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate interactions between the CEO and top management with line management and employees in other business areas.
- Enable improved results delivery throughout the organization by employing effective Change and Operability.
- Ensure leadership and performance that is aligned with the Telkom culture and values.

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant 3-year degree (NQF level 7) preferably in business/ commerce or marketing is required.
- An MBA or post-graduate business qualification or project management qualification will be an advantage.

**Experience**:

- 8 Years experience within the retail sales and marketing operations of which 3 years on a senior management level is required.
- Strong Profit and Loss experience is required.
- Experience in Project Management and stakeholder relationship management across the retail value chain is desired.
