Trace, until recently a traditional media group dedicated to afro-urban music, is transforming into a global digital platform dedicated to Afro-Urban culture and youth success. Trace has defined a new mission: “to entertain and empower our people to stand up and shine”.
We are on the hunt for a seasoned HR generalist who will be responsible for providing a shared generalist service to Trace Southern Africa, management and employees, as well as the day-to-day management of HR operations to assist with a diversity of responsibilities within the ambit of all the HR functionalities and the employee life cycle.
In addition, responsibilities will include recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, and enforcing company policy and procedure adherence. You will build strong partnerships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.

**Responsibilities**:
Be actively involved in the talent acquisition process by preparing job descriptions, posting adverts and managing the selection process.
Coordinate and execute on the employee onboarding process from start to end.
Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
Administer and coordinate all HR related events, socials and meetings.
Collate and input all payroll information and changes monthly for the relative pay period and submit all payroll input to the outsourced Payroll Administrator.
Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence issues, disciplinaries, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organisational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
Coordinating planned training with service providers and assist in organising training and development initiatives.
Undertake tasks around performance management by assisting the line managers in the performance management process
Monitor and uphold employee morale and company culture.
Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations.
Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organisational chart, and contributes to the development of policies.
Committee facilitation in terms of employment equity, health and safety and skills development.
Assist in regulatory compliance and reporting in respect of Employment Equity, WSP/ATR, SA statistics, COIDA, BBBEE.
Mentor HR Intern with regards to HR administrative functions.

**Desired skills and competencies**:
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.
Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Passionate about HR field and people.

**Qualifications and experience**:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Organisational Psychology or Human Resources.
4 - 6 years' of experience working in Human Resources.
Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field.
