BIOVAC is one of the leading sterile vaccine manufacturers rooted in Africa, with our core purpose being to "protect life". We are looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive and meticulous Stock Controller to join a goal-oriented team.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED**:

- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Certificate in Logistics, Warehousing, Stores Control or Supply Chain Management.

**NECESSARY EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE**:
**Required**:

- At least 2 years' experience within a similar position.
- Sound technical ability in the field of stock control or stores management.
- Experience in quality management systems within a cGMP facility.
- Experience in warehousing or pharmaceutical industry would be advantageous.

**Preferred**:

- Knowledge and experience in quality management systems within a cGMP facility.
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical related legislation.
- Computer literate with experience in working with an ERP (SAP) system.
- Pharmacist Assistant Learner or qualified

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE**:
**Operational requirements**
- Adhere to SOP's and efficiency standard to ensure effective stock control of all goods in the various Biovac Stores,3rd party stores, onsite and offsite Warehouses.
- Ensure all transactional documentation transactional documentation (production orders, BOMs, picklists etc) is timeously completed for operations.
- Timeously provides picklists for BOMS / Production Order and Dispatching
- Ensure Production Order returns and Confirmations are done timeously.
- Ensure Finished Packed Product is returned physically and on SAP.
- Timeously perform transactions on the stock management system (electronic and/or manual) to reflect the activity performed.
- Assist with checking of issue and return materials when required.
- Ensure systems are followed for all Material Handling operations, receiving, pick and pack and stock control are in accordance with GWP.

**Physical Inventory management**
- Ensure investigational stock on SAP remains blocked until investigation is concluded.
- Ensure expiry checks, retest / re-evaluation checks and rejection processing are done timeously.
- Manage rejected goods and ensure transactions are performed and removed to reject storage location and on SAP
- Post transaction on ERP system for status change of finished Packed Goods for Transfer to plant 2000
- Overview of storage accuracy and reporting of stock accuracy trends
- Manage Return to vendor goods (RTV) and ensure transactions are performed and removed to RTV storage location physically and on SAP

**Stock taking**
- Distribute stock-taking and cycle-counting notifications and schedules.
- Investigate discrepancies for stock counts and submit the monthly reports to the MHS.
- Evaluates stock discrepancies for criticality. Informs Line management, planning to ensure that the Biovac planning schedule is not adversely affected.
- Perform spot checks for storage of goods physically and on SAP throughout all Biovac and 3rd party storage locations
- Ensure regular stock takes or cycle counting as per schedules and forwards stock reports to line management. This includes Offsite and contracted material storage.
- Initiates stock take adjustments after consultation with Head of Supply Chain.
- Submit stock adjustments requests to Head of Supply Chain
- Inventory stock accuracy and management for all functional areas presented on SAP
- Ensure that Stock Takes and transactions are done within the specific month before the next period is opened by Finance
- Notify Commercial Team and Finance when monthly transactions are completed

**Documentation**
- Compile reports on stock take accuracy and statistics monthly
- Compile reports on scrapping / stock adjustments monthly.
- Ensure that all applicable documents are completed for the operations performed daily and stock records are systematically filed and easily retrievable.
- Filing documents

**Support**
- Assists with operational functions (receiving, issuing; dispatching etc.) and verify materials for correctness (Semi finished bulk / vials) when required
- Keeps track of stock discrepancy issues and ensures Operators review the data to investigate and correct any issues.
- Monitor and identify incomplete processes on the Warehouse Activity Monitor and ensures Operators review the data to investigate and process data accordingly.
- Provide SAP Support and SAP investigations
- Assist with SAP testing
- Assist with Financial and Quality SAP Audit by investigating and collating documentation to support audit findings.
- Assist QC, QA, S&I, Production and Engineering with daily queries related to SAP
- Assist with conducting SAP training where required
- Report SAP gaps, recommendations, and queries to Supervisor: Inventory and Systems
