**Role Purpose**

**Role Description**
- Execute the Digital Commerce strategic objectives pertaining to the development and optimisation of the centralised fulfilment ecommerce channel (i.e., from customer ordering to delivery) through end-to-end project management and solution delivery.
- Assume end-to-end responsibility for business and stakeholder readiness pertaining supply chain project implementation, solution or process change and coordination in the Fulfilment Centres and ensure overall alignment to objectives.
- Plan for new or changed supply chain services or systems and execute technical planning and transition into operations, coordinating with multiple functions to ensure organizational readiness for change.
- Ensure the successful transfer of operational, system or business process ownership from the project to relevant ecommerce Centralised Order Fulfilment Centre business stakeholders, ensuring consistent delivery approach and governance is applied.
- Continuously monitor and analyze fulfillment metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.
- Conduct regular check-ins and facilitate forums with key project stakeholders to ensure delivery milestones are on track and any potential risks or delays are proactively mitigated.
- Ensure successful execution on business case models, relevant designs and implementations of supply chain operational processes to support the business growth.
- Provide ongoing support to supply chain operations in delivering budgeted productivity improvements through engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive the support for infrastructure and process designs and specifications to suit operational needs, including the procurement of relevant equipment.
- Manage and control project costs, including negotiating lead-time, cost, and quality with suppliers to obtain maximum benefit for the company.
- Provide business stakeholders with regular progress reports, dashboards and status updates.
- Proactively manage and resolve business readiness activities and issues within specific business units.
- Manage all aspects of solution or project change management, ensuring alignment and integration critical functions and activities between organisational change management, project training, communication and business readiness as deemed necessary, based on high level impact assessment and business delivery needs analysis.

**Qualifications and experience**
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics or a related field - (essential).
- +6 years' experience in ecommerce or online related supply chains and logistics or similar role with solid experience driving business or solution delivery for large and relatively complex networks - (essential).
- Strong understanding of ecommerce retail processes and supply chain operations, with specific exposure on end-to-end client ordering to delivery/order fulfilment - (essential).
- Solid experience designing new logistics processes and infrastructure solutions - (essential).
- Solid experience in end-to-end project management, delivering business requirements for supply chain or logistics for new and continuous improvement solutions - (essential)
- Solid experience supporting distribution centre building design and involvement in building construction as it pertains to ecommerce or online business models - (essential).
- Experience in supplier negotiations, contracts, service level agreements and delivery management - (essential).
- Strong change management capability and experience delivering change involving people, processes and technology - (desirable).
- Experience in coordinating various stakeholder inputs across multiple disciplines and business divisions - (essential).
- Proven CAPEX procurement management (>R80m CAPEX) - (desirable)
