Learning and Development Co-ordinator

Our **Retail Client** is seeking a **Retail Learning and Development Co-Ordinator** to join their team based in **Umhlanga, Durban.**
**Purpose of the Job**:
As the learning and development coordinator who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a strong training background, you will be responsible assessing the skill level of current employees, creating effective training and development materials, and delivering training programs in both individual and group settings where needed. to ascertain the needs of the organization. Strong interpersonal skills, creativity, technological skills, and attention to detail, are important qualities of a skills development facilitator. This role focuses on curriculum development, employee development and facilitation, and program management.
**Remuneration** : R15 000 - R20 000 CTC **neg depending on experience**
**Requirements**:
- Matric.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, problem solving and formal training skills.
- A constituent Assessor and Moderator with W&R SETA.
- Familiar with: WSP/ATR submissions and SDF certification.
- Facilitation experience in both retail learnership and short courses.
- 3 or more years retail training experience.
- 2 or more years of experience in a curriculum development role or similar, managing medium to large scale programs while working cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience on leading projects for an entire group or department, or a major piece of a larger cross company product or projects.
- Experience using data collection, research, and analysis to evaluate project outcomes and improve and organizational performance.
- Experience with retail AND customer service organizations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
- Create, organize, plan, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers.
- Develop unique training programs to fulfil workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
- Create and/or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
- Present training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
- Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
- Prepare and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.
- Perform other related duties as required.
