The Head of Legal - Consumer Division (Financial Services) is a key leadership role responsible for providing strategic legal counsel and guidance to the organisation's Consumer Division operating in the financial services sector. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure legal compliance, protect the organisation's interests, and support the division's operations. The Head of Legal will monitor and advise on legal risks, oversee contract negotiation and review, manage litigation and disputes, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. By doing so, they will uphold the organisation's reputation and ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards in the financial services sector. Core skills and knowledge.

Qualification and Experience:
LL.B Degree or relevant degree from an accredited law school and be an Admitted Attorney An active license to practice law in the jurisdiction where the company operates. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in the financial services industry or technology sector with a focus on Consumer Markets. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulation, including financial services laws, data protection and, and privacy. Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements and contracts as well as lease agreements. Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative and technology driven environment. Experience in managing legal disputes and working with external legal counsel. Proven track record in managing legal risks and ensuring compliance in a dynamic and rapidly evolving regulatory environment.

**Salary**: R1,300,000.00 - R1,750,000.00 per year
