Global Water Solutions has a vacancy for **Sales Executive
- Quatreau**. GWS is one of the world’s largest pressure tank and water treatment product manufacturers. We are looking for a self-starter and result-driven professional who must show and exercise a sense of urgency to all matters relating to the products in question and handle all leads and matters effectively and efficiently, with detailed record keeping and regular report backs. This position would ideally suit a person that is well versed in design and layout of kitchen, offices and all aspects of the hospitality industry. The Sales Executive will report directly to the Regional Director - Africa, based at GWS Africa
- Gauteng. The customer base to be handled will predominately be ALL customers showing interest in (but not Limited to) in both Quatreau and Water Enhancement products. Main categories of clients to include:
- Property Developers.
- Property companies and brokers.
- Architects
- Designers (All, but particularly Interior).
- Kitchen (design, installation) companies.
- Initially, all Provinces in South Africa, as leads are still to be generated - as the lines grow, we will add additional people where required.
- Any other enquiries from companies and/or individuals that show interest in the Quatreau and Water Enhancement ranges.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Build and maintain a rapport with customers and prospects to formulate strong, long-term business relationships built on trust.
- Ensure that our products are in the specification of the build for the specific project from the onset.
- Follow up an conclude any leads given from any source. Dealing with outsourced companies, such as Specifying Dynamics.
- Conduct market research and initial visits within your territory.
- Seek new customers and opportunities on an ongoing basis, continually bringing new customers on board. Cold calling on new and prospective customers is vital.
- Grow in ALL areas of South Africa, initially concentrating on areas where we can achieve “quick wins”.
- Ensure “inactive” customers are convinced to start buying again.
- Perform analysis of prospects and design solutions that best meet customer needs. Be the “go to person”, when it comes to problem solving and suggestions to suit customer requirements.
- Identify new opportunities and initiate relationships with potential customers.
- Keep suitable and traceable records of the customers you approach, with regular updates of any changes in their organisation, using our methods of CRM and customer records.
- Gain adequate technical knowledge of our products and usage of the same by continually reading up on and familiarising yourself with what each product is used for.
- Gain suitable knowledge in the installation of and how to troubleshoot any problems at a clients’ premises.
- Attend regional trade shows and expos to promote GWS and its products.
- Work closely with the customers’ sales teams to deal with downstream customers.
- Provide clear and accurate reporting of sales outcomes and activities to management.
- Meet and exceed given and agreed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Complete adequate physical sales calls (ACTUAL VISITS TO CUSTOMERS AT THEIR PREMISES) in all given areas to ensure that targets are met and exceeded.
- Participate in sales and business training programs to improve sales performance.
- Manage budget for travel expenses.
**Job Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a similar position with direct, face to face, B-to-B selling is a pre-requisite.
- Highly motivated and hands-on attitude.
- Technical understanding in Water related industries, such as water treatment, filtration, pumps, etc. will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong organization, presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
- Must be flexible and willing to do extensive travel initially over South Africa but could extend to further afield. Therefore, experience of selling into Africa would be advantageous.
- Must be business fluent in English.
