**Role Profile and Person Specification**

**Purpose of the Role**

As part of the Operational Excellence Team for CXI, the People Engagement Lead will report to the Head of Operational Excellence. Managing the People Engagement Plan in South Africa you will take responsibility for readiness, delivery, and implementation of the People Engagement Plan. The People Engagement Lead will support in driving a people-first culture within the business, developing and implementing strategies aimed at fostering a positive working environment and enhancing employee satisfaction. This People Engagement Lead involves closely working with all stakeholders across the business to implement programs that promote a sense of belonging and commitment among our people, ensuring they feel valued and understood. By monitoring and analysing engagement metrics, the People Engagement Lead identifies areas for improvement and collaborates with Senior Leadership to address these challenges. Through their efforts, they contribute to the overall morale, retention rates, and performance levels within the business, making it a more attractive place to work.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement and continuously improve employee engagement strategies aligned with the business values and goals
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership to identify areas of improvement within the business to enhance the employee experience
- Establish an effective communication channel to gather feedback from our people that talks to experiences, challenges and suggestions to improve the business
- Own the communication strategy to our people when change is made, update on events, what’s going on in the business, initiatives, etc
- Own the employee reward and recognition programme
- Implement a process that is fair, consistent and aligned to the business objectives when recognising our people
- Understand employee’s learning opportunities and feedback to L&D to support with our people’s growth
- Nurture a positive and inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, equality and inclusion
- Own the day to day running of the people engagement plan
- organise events, initiatives, team builds, collaboration and camaraderie amongst employees
- Support the corporate social responsibility roadmap
- Explore with external third parties how we raise employee well being in the business
- Provide resources to support of people who are suffering from work related stress, conflicts or personal challenges
- Collate and analyse data relating to employee engagement
- Prepare a monthly board pack on people engagement sharing recommendations with leadership for investment

**Key Requirements and Competencies**:

- Matric
- Proven experience in People Engagement Management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and engage stakeholders at all levels of the hierarchy
- Knowledge of current trends in the industry to ensure we are implementing best employee engagement practices

**Desired Requirements**:

- Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or Related Field
