**Role Profile and Person Specification**

**Purpose of the Role**

CXI are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MI Lead to join our team. The MI Lead will be responsible for overseeing the management and analysis of data and information within the business, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business performance.

**Key responsibilities**:

- **Data Management and Governance**:

- Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of data across the business, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with data governance standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement data management policies, procedures, and best practices to optimise data quality, accessibility, and security.
- **Data Analysis and Reporting**:

- Lead the analysis of complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and drive performance improvement.
- Develop and produce regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate key metrics and findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- **Performance Measurement and KPIs**:

- Define and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and measure business performance against strategic objectives and targets.
- Monitor and analyse KPIs to assess business performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous performance optimisation.
- **Strategic Planning and Decision Support**:

- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management and decision-makers based on data analysis and interpretation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning initiatives, business case development, and performance forecasting.
- **Data Visualisation and Communication**:

- Develop compelling data visualisations and presentations to effectively communicate insights, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management, department heads, and other stakeholders in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- **Process Improvement and Innovation**:

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation based on data analysis and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement data-driven solutions and initiatives that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and business outcomes.

**Key Requirements and Competencies**:

- **Data Management**: Proficiency in managing and organising large datasets, including data collection, storage, cleansing, and maintenance. Ability to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- **Data Analysis**: Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and insights, and draw actionable conclusions. Proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modelling techniques.
- **Data Visualisation**: Expertise in data visualisation tools and techniques to create compelling visualisations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders. Ability to present complex data in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner.
- **Business Acumen**: Understanding of business principles, processes, and objectives, with the ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions and recommendations. Familiarity with key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics relevant to the organisation's goals and objectives.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Proficiency in a range of technical skills and tools, including database management systems (e.g., SQL), data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R), business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS).
