**JBT has an opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join our team based in Johannesburg.**

JBT South Africa supports a wide variety of equipment. Although the role would be open to specialization into a particular type of equipment in a certain field, the person should be open to learn about a wide array of machinery.

The Opportunity...:
**A day in the life of a Field Service Technician includes:

- **
- Assist with installations of electronics for tanker systems.
- Ensure wiring is correct as per drawings for the various installation, prior to delivery of the system.
- Assisting customers with training and commission of flow computers.
- Relook installations to ensure effective use of time and production runs to plan.
- Assist customers with breakdowns and fault finding.
- Do ad hoc maintenance to the JBT buildings and premises.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safety-focused work mentality.
- Complete service reports timely. Follow good assembly practices while performing job duties.

**Requirements**:

- Qualified millright with appropriate qualifications and certifications.
- 2 to 4 years working experience as a qualified millwright.
- Proven mechanical, computer and electrical understanding.
- Experience serving customers and working as a team to achieve success.
- High level of dedication to safety and quality.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
- Passion to deliver results on our customers’ needs.
- Ability to adhere to JBT culture and values.
