**Shipping and Costing Administrator, JHB Branch**

**Purpose of the role**:
The Shipping Administrator will be responsible for the administration and costing of the day-to-day international shipments and ensure shipments are delivered on time by working closely with freight forwarders. To also investigate shipment-related issues and provides corrective and preventive actions.

**Areas of responsibility include**
- Liaise with Forwarding Agents and Overseas Suppliers on all shipments, documentations, ETAs and delivery schedules.
- Request quotations from the Forwarding Agents.
- Arranging the Ex-Works shipments from the supplier to Client.
- Tracking shipments with the Forwarder and providing feedback to internal customers timeously.
- Daily monitoring of the forwarder status report and updating the purchase order report accordingly.
- Arranging the shipment pre-clearance with the forwarders.
- Completing the clearing Instructions for customs clearance.
- Compiling the shipping documents and filling them on SharePoint.
- Escalation of problem to Management when necessary
- Proper data maintenance on systems and shipment.
- Ensure that the costs on the invoice balance back to the costs captured on the ERP.
- Resolve issues or queries relating to damaged and short-supplied stock received, with the supplier or forwarding agent immediately once you had been notified of the query.
- Work closely with Warehouse, Purchasing, Finance departments, and Forwarding Agents.

**Minimum requirements for this position include**:

- Matric with 3-year Tertiary Qualification
- 2-5 years’ experience in shipping and costing experience
- Import and Export knowledge
- Working knowledge of ERP System
- Good and updated knowledge of Incoterms
- Computer Literate in Microsoft packages
- Excellent admin skills
