- A supplier of laboratory equipment is seeking a Separation Science Sales Consultant to join their team. The duties will include, but are not limited to, engaging with existing customers to determine their needs and expansion plans; generating new sales leads to grow the business space (includes cold calls); introducing customers to the company’s products that best meet their needs; coordinating with internal resources to address customer questions/objections; providing pricing, creating, and submitting individualized quotes; monitoring market feedback for product quality and pricing; reporting quality issues and market demands to our principals; attending online training sessions as and when offered by our principals; disseminating relevant knowledge to the rest of the team and the market; closing the sales process through the point of order receipt; conducting demonstrations for the consumable’s product line; providing annual marketing strategy for product group; working with the team to generate and maintain marketing materials for the product group, incl. Social Media Marketing; providing regular progress reports to line manager; and manage and maintain leads, contacts, and account information in our CRM (Salesforce). Secondary duties could include identifying opportunities for instrument sales during the consumables sales process and passing them to the relevant team; working closely with the instrument sales team where a customer expresses the desire for equipment solutions; contributing to the development of the separation science product strategy; providing technical support for the field sales personnel, service personnel, and existing customers; providing product-related sales, services, and customer training as required; representing the company at exhibits and conferences to further sales and marketing; presenting at conferences and/or roadshows on a product group; and any other duties as assigned.
