**WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To monitor and maintain stock levels and to initiate replenishment as and when necessary;
- To check incoming stock into the warehouse using suppliers’ (including UVP Veltopak’s) delivery notes as guides and to oversee placement of stocks onto shelves;
- To place readable labels on stock items and shelves for ease of counting, replenishing and picking of orders;
- To receive Customer orders and check availability of items ordered;
- To check Customer’s credit standing with accounts department and where no account exists, to initiate an account opening;
- To notify Customers of unavailable items and to place such items on back order with suppliers;
- To oversee picking, assembly and packing of orders;
- To ensure Customers are invoiced for outgoing orders and invoices married up with Customer purchase orders;
- To prepare and distribute month-end stock-taking templates with instructions on the conduct of the stock count;
- To manage stock counts;
- To collate stock sheets after each count and to sign off on, and deliver same to Company accountant;
- To manage personnel assigned to the warehouse including: time keeping, productivity, conduct, communication with clients, accuracy and attitude;
- To manage transport, being either vehicles assigned permanently to the warehouse or on loan from UVP Veltopak’s fleet;
- To maintain cleanliness in the warehouse;
- To take on assignments which may not be covered by this job description; and
- At all times to safeguard Company property and act in the best interests of the Company and fellow employees.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**
- Sound, practical experience in working with spreadsheets and Word documents;
- Good basic understanding of accounts to the extent they affect stock values and expenses controls;
- Personable nature and good communication skills;
- Ability to train subordinates in pursuit of excellence;
- Ability to analyse and solve problems;
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork;
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Driver’s licence;
- Own transport; forklift/hyster licence will be a benefit
- Willingness to work flexible hours; and
- Some basic, previous experience in inventory management.
- Grade 12 and some type of tertiary education

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Epping, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
