IT Assistant

Demonstrate an in-dept knowledge of service management frameworks, principles, and processes
- Develop system process automation (automate operational tasks, streamline
- ITSM processes, improve systems availability/performance and optimize resource capacity)
- Assists users with tier 1 hardware and software issues
- Troubleshoots and checks for root causes
- Checks hardware diagnostics to resolve problems
- Uses known-error database to resolve known problems
- Escalates more complex support issues to service provider
- Actions ticket logging with external vendors
- Follows up with vendor about logged tickets
- Escalates tickets to the IT Service Manager as required
- Liaises with HR regarding new user requirements
- Sets up new users using the standard take on process
- Liaises with the vendors to provide remaining new user set up
- Administers biometric access control
- Ensure organisation assets are recorded and updated in asset management tool.
- Liaises with Vendors for asset quotations.
**General ability**:
- To be on call for after-hours support as required
- Clear communication and soft skills
- To lift and move computer hardware physical dexterity to bend and reach equipment and cables
- To focus on results through customer focus
- To express potential through adaptability, initiating action, work standards and stress tolerance.

- To achieve goals by contributing to team success and follow up.
**Salary**: Up to R17,000.00 per month
**Education**:
- Diploma (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
- IT systems: 1 year (preferred)
