PKF Cape Town is looking for a **Head of Operations **to join their team

The Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of PKF Cape Town.

This will include managing staff, developing, and implementing operational policies and procedures, and ensuring that all departments (Admin, Backoffice, Accounting, IT, HR, Tax, CoSec and Recruitment) are working together effectively.

Responsibilities will also include managing budgets, analysing financial data, and making strategic decisions to improve PKF Cape Town’s overall performance.

**Duties and responsibilities** will include, but not be limited to:

- Overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring that the Firm functions efficiently and effectively.
- Managing the operational aspects of the Firm, including developing and implementing operational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Work closely with management to ensure that the firm's operations align with its strategic goals and objectives.
- Key role in financial management, overseeing budgeting, expense management, and financial reporting (Including identify areas for improvement).
- Ensure that the firm has the right talent and resources to meet its operational needs.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency within the firm. Including analyse existing processes and systems, implement changes to optimize workflow, and enhance productivity (Implementation of new technologies and tools to streamline operations).
- Participates in strategic planning initiatives and provides input on operational feasibility and resource requirements. Contribute to the development and execution of the firm's strategic goals and objectives, aligning operational activities with the overall strategic direction.
- Translate strategy into actionable steps.
- Fosters effective communication and collaboration within the firm. Promote cross-functional collaboration, facilitate communication channels, and ensure information flows smoothly between different departments and levels of the Firm.
- Promote culture and vision and oversee operations to keep businesses on track
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to identify potential opportunities and risks for the firm.
- Represent the firm at meetings, conferences, and other events when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Requirements**:

- BAcc, BCom Financial Accounting, CA(SA), MBA or similar
- 2 years’ experience in a similar or financial manager role
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Familiarity with the environment
- Innovative, with a future outlook
- Solid technology skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Highly motivated and able to engage with staff
- Excellent business acumen
- Self-driven
- Outstanding work ethics
- Problem-solving mindset
- Lead employees with an example
- Be a motivator for other employees
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Pastel, Microsoft Outlook
- Experience in CaseWare and GreatSoft would be an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Own transport, a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
