**A Day in the Life**

As consultant you will work closely with the consulting teams in Africa on all consultancy delivery activities and/or lead stand-alone consultancy workstreams within a client setting. Your focus will be on pathway and patient journey optimization, with a knowledge of population health, data analytics, patient outcomes, and clinical quality needed to drive improvement. You manage and work collaboratively with teams to drive full end-to-end transformation programs, operational excellence, and pathway optimization projects.

As a Healthcare Service/Solution Consulting Specialist you will be responsible for:

- Map, understand and assess clinical pathways and patient journeys within a hospital or health system settings. Identify, frame and prioritize initiatives to capture value, and establish road-map and develop actionable plans / project portfolios for immediate improvement and costs savings.
- Track, measure and interpret outcomes pre, during and post care. Drive data analytics around clinical, operational and financial outcome.
- Work with accounts to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and optimize operations.
- Support in influencing key stakeholders by developing well-articulated situation analysis and case for change.
- Manage full end-to-end projects / programs and performing day to day coaching and mentoring activities to the service delivery team
- Periodically prepare portfolio reviews of the partnership program with steering com (IHS + customer) to track status, progress and measure economic value and customer satisfaction)
- Identify and build new services and solutions that enable clients to improve outcomes and reduce costs of delivering care

**Must Haves**
- 3-5+ years as consultant from a top tier consulting firm or high-end healthcare, education or consulting firm.
- Extensive experience in the healthcare environment and in dealing with hospitals’ clinical leaders, staff, and C-suite/Sr. Management/stakeholders.
- Demonstrable program management skills: planning & coordinating, communicating & influencing, relationship building, achieving milestones, resolving issues and managing risks.
- Strong program management and change management skills.
- Lean/Six Sigma tools: good experience and ability to utilize Lean/Six Sigma tools along the DMAIC improvement cycle, with Strong experience in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data using statistical software (Excel, Minitab, SPSS, etc.).
- Presentation and Data Visualization skills: good experience in using presentation tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Power BI) to present/visualize abstract ideas/data into information that could be useful for decision making.
- Excellent in English is a must

**Nice to Haves**
- Able to communicate in French
- Previously conducted or participated in market research study or analysis.
- Has good experience in change management frameworks and methodologies.
- Has good experience in digital tools and information technology.
