Are you an experienced regional manager, in the logistics / courier industry, looking for a new challenge?

An international logistics / courier company is seeking a **Regional Manager,** to head up their Western Cape region.
- PURPOSE OF THE JOB:_

Managing and developing the Region in terms of costs, systems, structure, human resources, strategy implementation, policy making and operational efficiency.
- MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:_
- Operational efficiency and effectiveness across the region. The efficiency of the region to be optimised in effective and economical deployment of all types of resources.
- The resources to be managed include human resources (employees), third parties, equipment, fleet and premises;
- The Regional Manager must:
a. Manage costs in accordance with approved budgets,

b. Manage efficiencies and ensure OTOF targets are achieved

c. Implement new / revised methods, processes, policies and procedures to ensure compliance and optimal performance at all times

d. train & mentor staff with hands-on involvement
- Manage and optimise the Region in terms of costs, systems, structure, strategy implementation and policy making.
- Compiling budgets and track expenses in conjunction with Branch Managers
- Ensuring the region is managed and maintained according to expectations as defined in KPI’s.
- Building commercial accounts and assisting commercial teams to obtain new business
- Ensuring that good customer relations are maintained.
- Carry out all duties in accordance with SPI & ISO specifications and ensure that high operating standards and service levels are maintained
- Take advice from functional staff re best practice in their field and implement as required
- Set goals with branches and regularly review performance and progress
- Be aware of and responsive to local conditions.
- Enforce regional management routines
- Implement and manage Management Control Systems
- SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:_

▪ Ability to operate independently.

▪ Good planning and organising skills.

▪ Generalist management skills including finance, administration, and human resources.

▪ Ability to communicate and negotiate at a senior level

▪ Strong interpersonal skills.

▪ Excellent Commercial and Financial acumen

▪ Proven ability to interpret financial figures and devise plans to improve financial performance

▪ Industrial relations skills to instill discipline among team

▪ Fully au-fait with MS Office with MS Excel at an advanced level

▪ Customer Relationship Management
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:_

▪ Matric

▪ Relevant Tertiary Qualification

▪ At least 7 Years’ middle / senior management experience in similar logistics / courier industry.

▪ Proven Logistics Management knowledge, skills and experience

▪ Proven Operations Management knowledge, skills and experience

▪ Fleet Management knowledge, skills and experience

▪ Proven experience of similar role in similar geographical location

▪_ **South African citizen with clear criminal record**_

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to R70,000.00 per month
