Groups and Events Coordinator - Hotel in Cape Town

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate all aspects of groups and events, including planning, organizing, and executing events from start to finish
- Ensure that all aspects of events are well-planned, including catering, transportation, accommodations, and entertainment
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Attend to guests' needs and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with the sales team to promote and sell our services
- Manage the budget for each event and ensure that expenses are within the allocated budget
- Ensure that all documentation, including contracts, agreements, and invoices, are prepared and processed in a timely manner
- Ensure that all events are executed in compliance with hotel policies and procedures
- Provide support to other hotel departments when needed

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Groups and Events Coordinator in a 4/5* hotel
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred
