Head of People

The Head of People is responsible for defining the strategy and supervising the management of human resources.
As a member of the Cerba Lancet Africa Team, he/she monitors the management of jobs and skills, guarantees the quality of labour relations and contributes to the promotion of the employer brand on a perimeter in strict compliance with regulations and in order to support the development of the Group.
**Travels** : He/she will have to travel around 35/50% of his/her working time
**Key responsabilities**:
- ** Support the development of the Group on HR and labour relations**
- Defines and implements HR strategies in accordance with the Group's development policy and ambitions in the 14 countries on African continent.
- Support the entire hierarchical chain of its scope on HR and labour relations
- Guarantees the adequacy of jobs and skills with the business needs
- Accompanies the change and the structuring of its scope
- Participates and promotes the Group's structuring projects
- Contributes to internal communication

Supervise and manage the activities of its perimeter**
- Actively participates in management and executive committees of its scope by promoting HR topics
- Defines, follows and guarantees the budget of its perimeter in relation with the director
- Pilots the HR indicators of its scope
- Establishes a monthly report for the Management of its scope

Support operational staff on HR and social aspects**
- Guarantees the adequacy of jobs and skills with the business needs
- Advises executives and managers within its scope on HR and labour relations
- **
Guarantee the quality of labor relations**
- Ensures compliance with labour legislations, health and safety rules
- Defines and plans the company’s labour policy and ensures its implementation
- Presides over employee representative bodies and manager the relations with social partners and unions
- Maintains effective labour relations in relation with management
- **
Manage and lead an HR team**
- Structures, organizes the activity and animates the HR Managers who report directly to local CEOs
- Ensures the operational supervision of his team
- Evaluates, trains and develops his team
- Ensures cohesion between team members
**Profil**:
- Ideally a master’s degree in human ressources or in Psychology, Business Administration, Law.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
**Required skills**:
- You are known for your pedagogy, your rigour and your dynamism.
- Proven interpersonal skills, the ability to listen and coach, strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to function in a fast moving/entrepreneurial environment, and to react quickly to changes.
- English (fluent, must have)
- French (appreciated)
