**Position**: Receptionist

**Location**: Luxury Hotel, Johannesburg

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Guest Reception**: Provide a warm and professional welcome to guests upon arrival. Manage check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- ** Guest Assistance**: Offer detailed information about hotel facilities, local attractions, dining options, and transportation. Provide helpful recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
- ** Administrative Support**: Perform administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, and faxing. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
- ** Payment Processing**: Manage guest payments for room charges, deposits, and incidentals. Reconcile cash drawer and maintain accurate transaction records.
- ** Guest Services Coordination**: Work with hotel departments such as housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage to meet guest needs and preferences.
- ** Safety and Security**: Monitor the lobby and entrance to ensure guest and staff safety. Follow security protocols to safeguard the property.
- ** Problem Resolution**: Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns professionally. Escalate issues to the Duty Manager or relevant supervisor if necessary.

**Requirements**:

- ** Experience**: Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the hospitality industry.
- ** Skills**: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software.
- ** Abilities**: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and work under pressure. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- ** Professionalism**: Maintain a polished appearance and a positive, proactive attitude.
